The Coin Toss

That’s about all that you can say when you sit back and think about this weekend in college football. Texas Tech Beats Texas, was almost certain that was coming anyway, just not in such dramatic fashion. Florida beats Georgia, seen that coming, just not 49-10. Oklahoma scores 4 touchdowns in the first 5 minutes and thirty three seconds????? USC beat Washington?????? lol You know I am kidding on that one.

Now here are some things that came totally unexpected Sunday afternoon. I did not expect Alabama to be #1. I thought for sure that a win over Texas would put Texas Tech in that spot. I did not expect Texas to only fall to #4. I thought that would fall between 5 & 6.

Didn’t see OU getting bumped 2 spots for winning 62-28. All you can say for this is, at least they played someone who CAN put up a fight. Why has USC not dropped week in and week out for destroying obviously weaker teams?

I knew Florida was going to jump up high. I thought Texas would fall to 5 and knew Florida would jump OU after the beat down they placed on Georgia.

AND the final reason for saying wow after all the dust cleared……….HOW ON EARTH DID UTAH JUMP OKLAHOMA STATE???????? We got a typo or something? Did someone push the wrong button? I think they zigged when they should have zagged on that one. But do not fret O State faithful Utah will be gone with the wind after this week. TCU will beat the Utes and we will all say bon voy age to Utah.

All in all is was a wonderful weekend for football fans. Marvelous finishes, big time wins. Did anyone count how many games were won by scores in the final seconds???  10! 30% of Saturdays games were won in the final seconds of the 4th quarter. I don’t know about you, but that’s pretty fun to watch in my house!
